COVID-19

Annie Rainbow Physiotherapy is pleased to be resuming services and seeing patients in their own homes following the lock down period. However, we all know that times have changed and staying safe is still at the forefront of any intervention. The rates of COVID-19 are reducing but it is still prevalent in the community so precautions need to be put in place to reduce the risk of transmission. Although we are now allowed to offer rehabilitation back in your own home it may not look the same as before.

Initial Telephone Screening or Assessment

For new or existing clients a telephone screen or assessment will be carried our to ascertain if Face to Face Rehabilitation is appropriate at this time. We will discuss with you how precautions will be taken during the visit.

Face to Face visits in your home:
Prior to attending EVERY VISIT a risk assessment will need to be completed.
On the day of the visit:
• It will be assumed that your household is not suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms, including a persistent cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell. Please contact us to reschedule if this is the case.
• On arrival you will be asked again about any symptoms within the household.
• Your therapist will check her temperature on the day of the visit and be wearing full recommended PPE (Personal Protective Equipment ) of mask, gloves and apron for the visit. A face shield may be used if deemed necessary. Your therapist may be in close contact with you for some of the session.
• The session will be cancelled if symptoms of COVID-19 are present in your household or in your therapists household. There will obviously be no charge for this.

Payment:
All payments will be done via bank transfer. You will be sent an invoice with the bank details.

We look forward to working with you to help meet your rehabilitation goals and hope that you will feel confident that we are doing all we can to protect you during your rehabilitation sessions.
