Back to Classes!

Children are now back in school so it’s time we got back to classes.

We have caught up with some this summer either with a PD MOTs  (touching base to see how we can help you over the next year ),  Marcus’s Knee workshops and Julian’s Outdoor Boxing Sessions.  What a team effort!

Feedback for all sessions have been hugely encouraging and have benefitted those who took part.

Get ready for another year of fun, hard work and achievement.

Classes starting the week of Monday 11th September.  We can’t wait!

iPhone Health App

DId you know that the iPhone Health App measures mobility by recording walking asymmetry, step length, walking speed and double support time.  An explanation of what all the information means is also given, along with the normal values. The data is then stored over time so you can see trends etc.  This information can help monitor a persons walking.  Check it out .

Face to Face Classes

We are  really pleased to be trialing a weekly Face to Face PDPower Class in a new, larger venue to help with social distancing.  It will be great to return to real classes and help people make the most of exercises.  The new venue at Jubilee Hall, Scout Hut Amersham is a great new building with loads of space and brand new amenities.  We are running this class once a week along side our very successful Zoom PDPower Classes.

World Parkinson’s Day

World Parkinson’s Day on April 11th 2021 starts the beginning of World Parkinson’s Awareness Week.  As there is no cure for Parkinson’s, this is an annual opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds to support people with living with the condition, to improve quality of life and to ensure that people live better for longer.  Me and my great team help people with Parkinson’s through using regular high intensity exercise to empower and assist people live well with Parkinson’s.  We have had a challenging year but risen to this challenge by Zoom classes, fundraising challenges and supporting each other with Zoom socials.  This week is about raising awareness about this condition to help people understand the complexities of it and help raise funds to find a cure.  Please donate if you can to https://cureparkinsons.org.uk/  or  https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/
